Integrated Campaign
HCL believes in the power of a woman and is committed to women empowerment and celebrating the contribution of women in the organization as well as in our lives. #AMILEFORHER was launched, to reach out and engage with internal audiences and HCL employees and asked them to run, jog or walk a mile, dedicating it to a special woman in their life. The campaign was launched for the employees through a dedicated microsite and targeted communication in internal social media. The campaign saw phenomenal participation from employees who not only participated, but also helped spread the word and motivated others to run for women!
The campaign went viral on social media platforms through external and employee-facing advertisements and the campaign launch on HCL Facebook page. In just two weeks of the launch, 200,000 people had participated. It began trending on the No. 1 spot on Twitter and generated 175 million impressions. The campaign received web traffic from 60+ countries and engagement from 23+ countries. HCL became the No. 1 brand on Facebook among global IT service providers. As the campaign gathered momentum on social media global celebrities including Kim Stevenson (CIO of Intel), Debjani Ghosh and youth icons like Mary Kom, and Gul Panag associated with campaign along with corporate leaders, and social activists. The impact continues to grow by the day.
